    As our experienced and successful Chief Technology Officer, Alex brings a long history of established software development projects and a drive to help push his team to reach their full potential. With over 10 years of experience, 15 years of IT leadership roles, and 32 software development projects completed, he is the perfect fit to help lead BuildBase through the critical stages of helping clients build their homes. He has a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Software Engineering from the University of Victoria, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge, experience, and insight to the BuildBase team.

    His motivation stems from serving the needs of home builders, buyers, and trades with software that solves old problems. Each feature we release improves the work of our clients and there is plenty of motivation to be had. On top of his professional goals, Alex has set a personal one to run 5 km each day for an entire year. He also has no plans of ever retiring, as he intends to stay active and continue working on something.     View More

    Bringing an array of skills and expertise to the BuildBase team as a Project Manager, Hesham has over 12 years of experience in the software industry and managing large-scale projects. His expertise includes managing time and costs, sprint planning and is backed by his Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications. He has been highly successful in his projects for clients in Canada, Thailand, and Pakistan.

    He is highly driven to contribute to a rapidly expanding company that produces products that facilitate faster and more effective home construction for clients. He has been a major player in the execution of the BuildBase product since its inception and is an integral member of the implementation team. When he isn’t working, Hesham enjoys spending quality time with his family, travelling, reading, and watching sports such as soccer and cricket.     View More

    Director of Sales and Marketing

    With over two decades of software development experience, Dan’s expertise in product design, client relationship management, and marketing strategies make him an integral asset to the BuildBase team. Spending the majority of his career working with enterprise resource planning systems and large-scale implementations, he brings a unique perspective that drives simplistic solutions to complex problems.

    He believes that companies, not the government, must help resolve the North American housing crisis, which can be accomplished by building faster, wiser, and correctly the first time. Passionate about the mission of BuildBase, Dan is committed to helping our company exceed its goals.

    Dan’s passion for helping those who are less fortunate has led him to create industry-leading innovations such as the introduction of biometrics. Centered around assisting the homeless in getting off the streets, biometrics provides banking options for homeless individuals, enabling many of them to save money for the first time. In his spare time, Dan is a fitness fanatic who believes investing in a healthy body and mind will pay off in the future. He has also served as a mentor to many young innovators, inspiring them to create products and services that can help improve the lives of others.     View More

    Director of Technology

    As a software architect for BuildBase, Kevin is responsible for solution and software design. Kevin holds a master’s degree in software engineering, specializing in software technical design, multi-system integration, and cloud-based solution architecture. With over two decades of experience in software engineering, tech lead positions, tech consulting, and software architecture, he has an impressive track record. In addition, Kevin has more than 10 years of experience in the emergency and incident management industry, having delivered a variety of software incident management solutions.

    Driven by the BuildBase vision of “Boosting Great Builders”, Kevin is dedicated to helping the team attain their mission of providing solutions to aid builders and trades in a simpler and more successful manner. Working in collaboration with the product manager to create “the big picture”, he applies his architectural and design skills to lead the development team and deliver high-quality products utilizing the latest technologies. When not at work, Kevin is passionate about travelling and food, particularly pizza.     View More

    Product Owner

    During his nine-year career as an experienced technology consultant, Richard conducted over 120 new client discovery sessions and managed over $1.8 million dollars worth of mobile and web projects for clients throughout Canada and the United States. In his previous role, he performed various analysis and project management activities for a residential and commercial property management firm, including implementing a new ERP system and an accounts payable automation system.

    Through his deep understanding of the entire software and professional services sales cycle, he has the ability to discover the best solutions for each client’s needs and deliver them in a timely and cost-effective manner. His expertise in project management and ERP system implementation makes him a crucial asset for companies looking to streamline their operations and maximize efficiency. Serving clients with solutions to succeed through the intelligent use of technology, Richard is an excellent fit to help home builders scale their businesses with BuildBase. Aside from his day job, Richard also helps a local non-profit with IT issues, and in his free time enjoys dining out with friends and finding new miniseries to stream.     View More

    As a product owner of BuildBase, Sean utilizes his problem-solving abilities to ensure that all necessary actions are taken to maintain the quality of our products. As one of the longest serving and most enthusiastic employees at BuildBase, he brings valuable experience and expertise to the table, allowing him to tackle complex problems with ease.

    Sean has a passion for a variety of activities, such as camping, cars, planes, plants, and reading. His interest in computers began at a young age when he discovered the world of video games and was drawn to the inner workings of computers. The fascination has led him to extensively research the topic, which has resulted in an extensive collection of books about computer technology in his home library.     View More

    Director of Smiles
    Benny loves his career, even though it is hard work to keep the whole office happy. He is the ever-present shadow that is there during brainstorming sessions offering new ideas when the team gets stumped or just holding space while someone works through a problem. Lunch time is one of his favorite times as it means taking an office worker for a walk outside to refresh their spirits.

    Benny has many specialities but excels in offering co-workers a chance to break away from their work for a few minutes to rub his head and pet his belly. He also has unique skills for longer breaks like sitting, rolling over and dancing. Benny looks forward to seeing his office family during the week and relaxing with his home family on the weekend.
