About BuildBase
About BuildBase — the construction ERP built by home builders. We were builders first.
Not a software company that learned construction. A home builder that got tired of the software and built its own.

How BuildBase started
It began on a job site, not a whiteboard.
BuildBase wasn’t built in a lab. It was built inside a working home building company, by the people who had to live with the results.
Every workflow in the platform exists because someone lost time, money, or confidence to a broken process, and then fixed it for good.

The original crew, back when the software was just a fix for our own problems.
Move through the timeline to see each moment.
BuildBase was founded by Rohit Gupta, owner of Rohit Group, together with co-founders Adil Kodian and Alex Gosselin. Rohit and Adil are computer engineers who refused to accept that construction had to work the way the software said it did, and Alex was there from the earliest days leading the engineering that made it real.
The bigger problem was never one broken process. It was the industry’s software itself: legacy platforms built decades earlier, then expanded through years of mergers and bolted-on features, until they were hard to learn, hard to maintain, and never quite worked together.
The company was founded in 2018 as Tech2.Build, the parent business behind the platform, the same way Alphabet stands behind Google. Rather than extend the internal system, the team rebuilt it from the ground up on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and modern cloud architecture.
Then came the part most software companies skip: years running an entire home builder on it, region by region, before offering it to anyone else. In 2022, the BuildBase brand launched and the first builder outside the family came aboard.
Recognized in the industry
We don’t just say it. Others do too.
Built on enterprise infrastructure
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
BuildBase is built on Business Central, the ERP foundation used by mid-market and enterprise companies worldwide. Your financials, purchasing, and job costing run on a system your accountants and auditors already know.
Cloud-hosted on Amazon Web Services
The platform is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), with reliable infrastructure, high availability, and backup and recovery processes designed to keep your data secure and accessible.
The BuildBase Way
How we build software for home builders.
BuildBase was created by home builders who believed construction software should work the way builders do, not the other way around. Every workflow, every feature, and every customer relationship follows the same principles that shaped the platform from day one.
Built Around Real Builders
We don’t build software around assumptions. We build it around the way home builders estimate, purchase, build, invoice, and deliver homes. That’s why BuildBase feels familiar from day one: it was designed inside a real home building company.
Connected From Start to Finish
Home building isn’t a collection of departments. Sales, purchasing, construction, accounting, and warranty all depend on each other. BuildBase brings every team into one platform, creating a single source of truth across the entire business.
Simple by Design
Construction is complex enough. Software shouldn’t add to it. If a workflow needs a training manual to make sense, we designed it wrong. Every feature has to cut manual work and save time from day one.
Always Built With Builders
The platform evolves alongside the builders who use it. Customer feedback doesn’t sit in a backlog: it becomes working software, with new features reaching production regularly.
